    Hey Everyone,
Been having some issues with my M17x 280SLI rig. I'm so frustrated and annoyed atm. I've run through so many driver combinations it is not funny.
I was running the new 257 series drivers with a modded inf until I decided to revert back to Dell's Beta driver P03 Because it was giving me better performance in games (Mass Effect).

Since the revert, and several other driver installs (184.64, 195.15 etc) and registry cleans using CC cleaner I still cannot run Mass Effect, FEAR 2 or any other game installed on my system without poor performance.

I've run FurMark with both SLI enabled, disabled and single 280M. I'm getting horrible framerates with each configuration (8-10FPS max). I know that I'm definately not stuck in Stealth mode because I disabled it in the BIOS to do the testing for the single 280M's.

I have also noticed when I disable one of the 280Ms when I'm not it SLI configuration, one is able to render windows normally, while the other cannot. Is this normal.

Also while browsing on the net using only one 280M I got a nice White-splash screen, like the one that appears in the diagnostics. I restarted using only the 9400, and I'm using that now.

Oh, also a quck secondary Q, is it normal for GPUz and Furmark only pick up 4GB of RAM when your running a system with 8GB in daul channel mode?

Anything else I can try, short of a windows re-install? Btw, I've got back-ups of the registry before the driver changes.

Also what performance should I be expecting if my system is running well (eg Furmark Benchmark FPS) for the 280M SLI?

Thanks in advance, sorry for the essay, this is starting to annoy me...

Have you tried guru3D nvidia driver sweeper after uninstall of the dsiplay drivers (in safe mode) and before installing the version you want. It helped for me after I updated to the 257 drivers and got bad performance (due to install over 196 ones without uninstall first apparently).
