    I have a m17x that I bought maybe one or two years ago. The mouse problem has plagued me for over a year now and is really annoying. At first I thought it was my mouse but I bought a different one to no resolve. When I am in a game the the mouse pointer moves steadily up or to the side without me moving the mouse. It really needed me when I'm playing a Rpg and a fps game. Has anyone of you'll ever had this issue? Can you please help me solve this issue!

    Try turning your touchpad off when gaming just to rule it out as the culprit. I take you are using external mouse while gaming.
