I thought it might be easy for us to have thread where we can find spare parts for our laptops.
I have 2 links that i have ordered from and that are "proven" te be legit:

Affiliated-Toys is for basicly every part thinkable for a fair price.
I ordered my RGB LED screen for my R2 and this was for a complete screen assembly exluding the webcam and back cover (but these you would already have so that does not matter in theory :thumbsup :)

Upgrade monkey is THE most respected and well known seller of high end parts for Alienware like CPU and GPU's on Ebay.
In my opinion the best hardware seller because the price is very good and ships world wide from 3 local distribution location (China/USA/EU)

Let's add Eurocom in the mix.
I have send them a couple of emails and their response rate is pretty fast (faster then Lee/Nana from Upgrademonkey). Eurocom is offcourse also a well proven supplier of CPU/GPU's.
Prices are negotiable so thats a BIG + :)

I've seen this player around for a while and although stock level is something to be desired, they do have most of the important spare parts on their list.
Just recieve and swapped out my power button panel. (<---my hdd leds would not light up/ribbon problem)

If anybody else has a good/proven HW seller please add your information so that we can add it to our own.....wow ...that sounded Borg-like :D

Ztronics does not supply parts for the R2,
My idea was that we would post sites that supply parts for all revisions of the Mxx Rx type Alienware laptops, but i guess having that site would not hurt since we have lots of people looking for parts for their AW :)

I'm buying a M17x through my job but they only offer the 1600x900 screen, I was wondering if there is any way I can buy the WideFHD (1920 x 1080) WLED LCD through Alienware or anyone else?

I'd advise trying to get a 1080p panel from ebay (I actually got mine from affiliated toys). They are dirt cheap compared to what Dell wants for one and it is the same thing. :)

Funny should ask, follow This thread.

All i can say is that it is definetly worth the "trouble". ( swapping out the screen took me a little over an hour)

I also bought from affiliated toys and the service is outstanding....Ask for Katelyn.

Just a quick Rep for Parts-people. I Ordered a Bezel and a LCD back panel, they got it from Texas to the UK in 4 days. The panel arrived with a scratch, so i emailed them and with no further questions, they sent me new one. Great service.
