I've been stuck at this for the last THREE hours, please help.

    Here's the problem. (It's a Win7 Ultimate x64)

The installation is fine, but after it gets to the final stage of "Completing the installation", I get an error saying "Setup cannot complete the installation", and it automatically restarts.

So I reboot it from hard drive, another error pops up "Windows Setup could not configure windows to run on this computer's hardware." Fortunately, I found the solution in this thread: http://forum.notebookreview.com/ali...configure-windows-run-computers-hardware.html

So apparently I just put the Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver in a USB, and run it when the installation prompts me if I need to install any seperate drivers, easy. I boot it from disk, try to run the driver before doing a fresh installation, and this hits me.

The problem part: My laptop isn't detecting the USB. I refresh(rescan) it over and over, it just doesn't see the USB when I am selecting drivers. So I burn the driver onto a fresh CD, that way I can install it from the disk and then put the windows disk back in, I realize there's no way of ejecting the disk.

If that line and arrow button on the top right of the laptop is the eject button, it doesn't work.

So here I am at a check mate, and angry as turd.

Have you tried a different, non USB 3.0, USB port? USB 3.0 won't work unless a driver is installed, which requires an OS to be installed.

Did you try one of the ports on the left hand side of the keyboard, Zanpakutou? That's a really odd problem. I loaded mine from the optical disk last weekend without problems... not that this helps you much. :(

You can build a USB Flash drive boot of Linux and eject it from linux after you boot it up to the flash drive. Instructions here:
Install Damn Small Linux to a Flash Drive in Windows | USB Pen Drive Linux

I hope you get it figured out!

Edit: I am a Bleach fan too. :)

Yes, in all likelihood you tried to use a USB 3.0 port for which there are no out-of-the-Windows-installation-drivers. Switch to a non-3.0 port (on the R3 - you didn't specify what you have), it's on the right hand side; left side are 3.0 (labelled "SS - Super Speed) ports.

And have the Intel RST boot-time (a.k.a. "F6") drivers unzipped on the USB stick.

I have a keyboard and mouse plugged on the right side, which was why I never tried them...

But after playing around with it I eventually figured it out on my own :p

Wish the replies came faster haha. Oh well, thanks for the help!

So what did you figure out? What finally worked to eject the disk?
