My AW 17 order just got canceled on saterday for no reason. I had gotten my order confirmation and such already.
If i were to reorder the same system now the price would increase with 500$, do i have any legal grounds to still get the same laptop for the same price?

They will say that they run out of your order and they will be glad if you order the new one that is far better then the old one that you ordered! :p

There's always a reason. Do you have the funds available? They don't charge you until it is ready to ship. When you first order, the funds are temporarily moved from your account as a verification, then returned until the Alienware has left "production."

If you call and ask what happened, I'm sure you can get the same deal... Just give them your order number and have them "re-order" it at the same price.

The payment was already reserved on my credit card so no funds issue.

I would call them and find out why they canceled the order before doing anything else .

The rules depend on where you live but usually once payment is taken a contract has been created.

My order was cancelled as well. After talking to the online chat rep, it seems that they are no longer offering the Killer wireless card and offer an intel one now.

Just got of the phone - Syth is indeed right and the killer NIC isn't available anymore they have rebooked my order. Although the sales rep was unable to find what was changed to the system.
Which does worry me if they rebooked the same model it will just get canceled in 2 weeks again.

I know am reacting a bit paranoid but my last order took 5 months got canceled 4 times and delayed and such so my trust in the delivery cycle and communication is just very low.
But once it reaches your doorstep things usually are pretty good.

I will be placing order during daytime I will check which wireless I am being offered just in case. I think if we have a quote that itself is valid for a certain time period as mentioned, and as you went through with the order I think you are entitled for the same offer or better (if any new deal pops up) but since you went through with the payment as well I think its enough evidence to get the same deal from them as the order date is supposed to be the one you initially ordered it at and if any delay occurs its on their part and I doubt they would charge more in that case.
