When I hit "alt+tab" there's an icon that says "OSD". When tab to the icon to bring the program up front nothing changes. Any idea what this is / how to get rid of it?

Interesting it brings all open windows on the desktop for display. I hold alt and then hit tab to display and then remove.

OSD (on screen display) is the app that handles some of the special button presses, e.g. changing volume or display brightness. It also displays the necessary notification on screen.

It's definitely possible to have the window disappear off the Alt-Tab list, but still show up when needed. I'd guess it's a bug, but only a fairly small one.

A program created by dell which
Is supposed to display a HUD style on screen display when you press the touch interactive buttons...most picky app ever works when it feels like it

It also only works if you have a single display. Dual-display configs will crash OSD.exe on startup as it is hardcoded to expect only a single display device.

Not a big deal I suppose. I certainly don't miss it.
