    Out of curiosity why does the m17x r3 have 2 display plug ins, on motherboard?

    So i completly disassembled my m17x r3 to replace the DVD drive since ti was busted and out of warrenty (I reccemend just buying an external) But why does it have two connectors right next to eachother to plug in the display? one with screws one without, (mine was plugged into the one without)

    one is for the 3d 120hz screen and one is for the 60hz screeen

    Because optimus can't support a 3d display you need a different cable connector for each type of display.
