Sorry for my poor English first :)
If you want to OC the 5870s
please use AMD GPU CLOCK TOOL to find a stable frequency for your GPUs and GDDR5 RAMs
different card, the limit is different too
    In China,my homeland
the 5870s of m17x CN ver is not really good
most of them can not OC to 800/1100 above
so my suggestion is try 800/1100 first
    and if it's stable
you can try some extra high frequency
When you find the limit point
you can use ATI RBE 1.25 to save and edit the VBIOS and flash it to your card

    My m17x r2's stable limit is 900/1130
I can run every game at this frequency
and if only need to pass the Vantage
the frequncy can ran up to about 940/1160
    but at this
I always receive a BSOD when playing empire:total war and some other games like NFS:HP3

    that's all
    Good Luck~~~ :)

i had another question: "Can you make damage to your GPU, if your only adjust the memory speed/clock & core speed/clock and not adjust the voltage?".

    thx again :)

No Thomaz and guys please when you are overclocking check temps prior to OCing or you will screw your cards up. I made the mistake of OCing to 800/1100 and my main GPU hit 128C. Suggested thermic limit of shut down is 114C.
