    Hi all gurus!

Am on a stock 580m and was wondering if anyone here has good overclock settings of this card using nvidia inspector.

Would like to bump it up a little to get a little bit more performance. So far no throttling for me and playing skyrim on ultra gives 30plus fps.. Always been console gamer so i have very very little knowledge on overclocking and a total noob so pls bear with me :)

    Once overclocked is it reversible?

    Cheers!

yes, you can oc the 580m (up to 20% without a modified vbios).
yes, you can do it with nvidia-inspector.
    yes, it is reversible.
yes, you could´ve used the search-engine to find multiple threads on this matter ;)

For real overclocking, both non-voltmodded vbios and overvolted vbios, you should try the throttling fix in my sig. It isn't only for people experiencing throttle but also helps with OC'ing. Makes things much easier.

Agree... thanks to widezu69 for providing quick help on the subject. +1 Rep for the assistance!

There is also more information in these threads that can be applied to the single 580M in the M17x R3 or the M18x 580M SLI setup:
