Is it better to call in or do online? I did online but yet to receive a return confirmation.

IMO, doesn't hurt to call in and explain that you've done it online and would like confirmation.

I tried to do online, never received confirmation.
I had to call when my gpu died and they transferred it over right then and had no record of me doing it online.

i believe the past owner has to authorize it. If there was no safeguard, i could call up and transfer laptops to myself as i saw fit
