Hey guys, just a couple of hours ago my fans started to kick up and I wasn't even playing any games. I was just web surfin' so could you guys give me a list programs to monitor my heat? So far the only thing I have downloaded is GPU-Z and I'd like to have some more.

well i use core temp for CPU and it works great :) because i Have a nividia GPU i just use my Overclocking tool, MSI afterburner to keep an eye on it. Another program that is very usefull for monitoring hardware temps and such is HWinfo64. ;)

HWinfo will show the maximum (for the time that the software has been open), minimum and the current temperature of an sensor.

Have you cleaned your fans from dust, lately? Could be it.

It's also a good idea to check the task manager and see if there anything that is consuming RAM or CPU.
Before opening the laptop just check everything that could make the CPU or GPUs do any "extra" work. Otherwise, even cleaning and re-pasting won't solve your problems

well depending on your room temp, temps can change. I don't break 70C on my GPU or CPU unless im running prime 95 and Furmark at the same time. then ill hit 80C. 90C is the danger zone and if your getting temps that high it sounds like you have a problem.

Phew, for some reason I saw 128 and I was like "NOOOOO" but It was in Fahrenheit. Almost freaked out lol, but It doesn't pass 63 on most games.
