I don't understand why is it a pain to install the latest gpu driver for 6990m. I tried installing 11.7 and i can either get a white screen of death or BSOD. I installed it before with just one BSOD. Now i can't get done reinstalling it. Sometimes it can get installed but windows still used the IGP.

Did you get the driver from AMD? I stuck to the one on Dell's support page and didn't have any problems.

Lots of us are having the same problem. Installation of newer reference drivers seems to be proceeding smoothly after a clean install of Windows, but prior to that, nothing but trouble, BSOD's, white screens, black screens, CCC that won't open and inability to switch to IGP. Huge PITA.

LOL. That's what I'm doing until my replacement arrives and I can install the SSD.
