    Hi there,I got my alienware m17xr3 a month ago, and I whas asking myself if some of you had done a little paint job to your laptop, like putting it yellow or so and if so, how did it look and feel like, and how did you manage to do it?

    yellow is sick, i powdercoated my M15x yellow and it looked friggin awesome. I painted the r3 using automotive paint, it feels hard so i no longer have the soft touch feel.

    pretty much just primer it and painted it. i did no sanding on the soft touch paint.

    It's should be way easier with the R3 since It's not aluminium.
    You can't go wrong if you know what you're doing.

    wow, and what type of paint to use ? Any thing else I should know?
    edit: And inap, do you have a video of how you painted it?

    i used an automotive paint with a hardener. i got my buddy to paint it for me. simply as primer then paint. prolly do a write up of it sometime next week, been busy with work and family stuff.
