    According to anandtech.com the intel 510 is the best drive as far as real world use go. The OCZ Vetrex 3 MaxIOPS and Patriot Wildfire (which are pretty much the same drive) best the 510 by a small margin in their tests. Which one you get is simply a matter of preference. I wouldn't call the 510 slow, and if you want to avoid OCZ you may want to avoid the Wildfire also since they are both SF-2222 controller drives. However off all the SF-2222 drives the Wildfire is one of if not the best. Patriot is a smaller company so firmware updates could be less frequent.
