Which brand of notebook is that from? That's the first time I've seen a Hannstar branded notebook mainboard.

Edit: Just saw the new post.
Edit 2: Wow apparently HannStar is a big player in notebook motherboards: http://www.emasiamag.com/article-66...rdmakersintaiwanoptimisticabout2010-Asia.html Guess you learn something new everyday.

I've seen it in person and I must say it's inferior than the AUO B173HW01 V.0/V.4 and LG 17.3 FHD. I'd rate them in order of: AUO B173HW01 > LG 17.3'' FHD > Hannstar

What really? Is that the same AUO found in the BB model? Because I thought that thing was a piece of junk.

aou is a piece of junk. it's considered budget. lg's are considered high end and well...hannstar.....is just there. to me...my lg was a better monitor. and it was an ccfl....

AUO in general is POS, but we are talking about laptop screens, TN panels, specifically. LG is no high end when it comes to TN. I've used all 3 and I can safely conclude the AUO 17.3'' FHD screens are the best among 17.3'' FHD screens.

Not the same. You're referring to the 900p version which I agree is terrible. I was talking about AUO's FHD 17.3'' screens. Those are exceptional. The B173HW01 V4 is the screen Dell advertise as the B+RG screen.
