I was trying to perform a System Recovery on my m17x. I can see that there is a recovery partition. But I am having trouble trying to restore it. Is there any documentation that can be used to perform a system restore.

I also wanted to know if this would be the restore to complete factory settings. After the restore, does it take my machine to the way it was the day i got it. With the alienware theme enabled, steam installed ? Or does it only get me to a brand new version of windows 7 ?

Try hitting F12 when you see the BIOS post screen (2 sec before windows starts loading).
