Well when i got my m17x r3 the first thing i installed was sc2 and got about 20 Fps at max settings , got really mad and well today after installing new m18x Drivers for my 6970 gpu i noticed a greattttt change , from 25 fps to 65 fps .

Same went in crysis on extreme i didnt check fps but the game was much Smoother on extreme settings , well i shut the pc off and just went on to play Some and from some dam reason the fps on sc2 / crysis went down back to the Way it was so again 25 fps on sc2 max and im really pissed :( , any idea?.

Please check to see if not by mistake it swiches back to the integrated GPU (IGP) and not the dedicated (ATi) when you restart...

Our GPUs are supposed to stay on the one you last set it on when restarting/shutting down.

Check Powerplay in CCC. Make sure it's "checked". Also, make sure you're on High Performance. Also, by any chance are you playing it while on A/C power when it's 60fps, and on battery the next time you play (25fps)?

Check to see that your GPU is not being clocked down using GPU-Z. It should be at 680/900, some people say that theirs gets downclocked to 400/900 sometimes.

Did you check if you're on High Performance?

Also, could be your CPU too. Have you checked it with hwinfo32 to see if it's clocking up and down properly?
