Planning to buy aw 17 r4, can i get inital feedback from owners? Also what card is better overall? 1070 or 1080? Im concerned if there are issues on both cards regarding heat and performance stability. Also is the 4k res worth it? Thanks in advance

I personally would hold off to get an r4, the 8000 series chips aren't really worth the extra buck if you can pick up a 7000 or 6820hk for a cheap price id say go for it otherwise id say go r3 with a 6820hk 980m alienware graphics amp and a desktop gpu, youll get more performance then the current r4 and you will get it cheaper, unless you need the portability of the 1070-80 but the laptop versions ive seen aren't near their desktop counterpart as far as performance, and if you do need the mobility for the price that your going to get that r4 for you should get a clevo for upgradeability and remove able parts
