    Hello,

recently I'm experiencing some problems while playing a 720p or BRRip video, it's happning that after a couple of minutes the video freezes and I have to CTRL+ALT+DEL to end the process.
I have two different players, the latest GOM Player, the Windows Media Player and the latest K-Lite Mega Codec Pack..

Windows Media Player is being able to play the video better than the GOM Player, because the GOM Player is showing the video like that the digital signal is low and losing some packages on the main picture.

Please someone help, since I've never had any problems before, it started this last week..

I tried to reinstall all players and codecs, but still the same problem, do I have to completely reinstall windows 7 to get it running again?

    My specs are:
    M17x-R2
    Core I7 820Q
    8GB DDR 3 1333
    ATI 4870 Xfire
    512GB SSD

Perhaps try resintalling the players and GPU drivers again. Do a clean uninstall of the GPU drivers in safe mode, uninstall and driver sweep. Clean with CC cleaner and then reinstall the GPU drivers.

If you want also you could uninstall all your other media players and codec packages and then reinstall them as well.

Worse case scenario would be a reformat and reinstall of your OS.

    Cheers.

they are on my second SSD drive.. but you gave me an Idea, maybe I can try moving them between the drives, I've experienced some problems with my SSD a couple of months ago, where I couldn't access some installation files from a couple of games, a reinstall solved the problem, but Idk, I'm gonna run some tests.

    thanks.

I had to get a new external hard drive as my other one could not keep up with my laptop so when I get ready to watch a movie I copy to my internal hard drive and watch it either tru windows or nero and I didnt need to load the new codecs for them to work I have windows 7 ultimate it seems to play anything I want
