When I play the game Toy Soldiers, after playing for a little while my screen goes black for about 2-3 seconds then comes back to the game. After this happens I notice a dramatic performance drop. It wouldn't bother me that much, but then I notice after it happens after that game, everything else I do is slower also (like playing BF3 afterwards).

I monitor my temps almost constantly since I have gpu overclocked. The highest I've ever seen it while playing that game or BF3 is 69c.

Does anybody know what is happening?

It almost feels like it is swapping modes or something? But i'm not sure what it could be, it's not going into the onboard video mode.
