On the M17x-R2, the stealth mode touch control has a dimmable LED in it, and if one looks carefully they can see its brightness change when entering and leaving stealth. I do get that pretty much, though if that's the only way to know what state the system is in, they need to work on that.
So IS that the only way the system directly tells you which mode it's in? Further, if it is at full brightness and you change modes, does that mean you are now in stealth mode when the LED dims? I assume that being in stealth mode means it is running with lower resource consumption, right? So is that the dim state or the bright state? (Were they thinking one should default to stealth? Like "bright" = "good" = stealth?) I generally don't want to be in stealth mode and I'm not sure how to ensure I am not.
The little OSD screen prompts aren't exactly clear about this, and I haven't seen a huge difference either way (I haven't run any benchmark software that would clearly reveal what's going on). As silly as this probably seems, I really would appreciate someone explaining this stealth stuff to me clearly.

Hi Voice,
I use Wattos Stealth Mode Indicator app and it works like a charm. Give it a try.

As far as an explanation of what this mode does EXACTLY; perhaps some of the more seasoned among us can it explain it to both of us ...
Edit: Found some info here:

Thanks Devoid! I just read another post where someone suggests that the command center will tell you if you are in stealth mode. I'll look around when I get a chance and see if I can confirm that. It would be helpful if so.
Please clarify stealth mode controls and operation
