Hello all, I recently purchased an M17x-R3 from the Dell outlet store, the only issue is that its a scratch and dent laptop.
I paranoid thinking how bad the blemish is going to be, but for the price and the specs I got I think its a really good deal. (1,420.63) after taxes

    -Intel® Core™ i7 2820QM 2.3GHz (3.4GHz Turbo Mode, 8MB Cache)
    - 2GB GDDR5 AMD Radeon™ HD 6970M
    - 4GB Dual Channel DDR3 at 1333MHz (4DIMMS)
    - 17.3-inch WideFHD 1920 x 1080 60Hz WLED
    - 750gb 7200rpm
    - DVD+-RW, CD-RW
    - Bluetooth 3.0
    - Intel® Ultimate N WiFi Link 6300 a/g/n 3x3 MIMO Technology
    - Windows 7 Home Edition

My question is: does anybody know where I can buy the lid (external case) for the M17xR3 in case the scratch and dent blemishes are too ugly? I just wanna be prepared in case I have to order one.

Thanks in advance for any help given. :)

Agree. Scratch and Dent is just a phrase they use. Your laptop should be in nearly perfect condition. And hopefully I don't look like an idiot for predicting that. :D

OK guys Its Wednesday and I finally got my scratch and dent M17X r3 and i am pleased to anounce that its in awesome shape!! There is a very tiny scratch on the top lid but its hardly noticeable. Well worth the huge discount I got for this awesome machine! :)
