I reformatted my M17X R2, when i go to reload Win 7 it only allows me to select 1 drive to load win 7 on, but both drives are there. I have never formated drives in raid before so I'm confused, I did verify the bios was correctly set as raid 0. How do I get Win on both drives? And I did search reformating but I could not find this problem.

    Thanks,
    LeeU

it's correct , if you are running raid 0 or 1 both drives will become 1 drive, in raid 0 data is stripped between both drives so basically it forms 1 drive with more capacity (disc 1+2 in terms of space)

sorry my mistake I didn't read the part where you mention both drives are shown , it should only show 1 drive if you are running raid 0 (at least in my r1, dunno if the r2 works in a different way )

Since the 'ctrl +I' should hit the BIOS, not the hard drive (obviously unfit for use/ empty),
have you tried the F2 during boot, OR just allow it to boot.
I would also try the battery removal, power cord removed and power button depressed (15 seconds) to completely clear the machine.
The other post is correct, you shouldnt 'see' two drives, RAID 0 splits the data and increases throughput.

Ok, I'm stupid just put the CD drive over the HD in Bios and bootmgr is back.
