I just ran Vantage after a fresh Windows 7 install. I installed 280.26 from laptopvideo2go. I fired up Left4Dead 2 and I was having less than 20fps. These are my scores - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-2630QM Processor,Alienware M17xR3 score: P1680 3DMarks
This is the 3D version of the R3 and so doesn't have the Optimus. Did I do something wrong?
Here is the GPU-Z screenshot -![]()
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

reinstall drivers...use driver sweeper first.
then go ahead and make sure ur laptop is plugged into power source before testing. then c what u get.
just an idea worth trying -
okay. I reinstalled drivers but went with the Dell 266 drivers instead of 280.26. much much better! Is that the kind of score to be expected from 2630QM and 580M? P13978! Graphics score is 13134! Is that okay?

Those Vantage scores are right in line to excellent for your setup at stock settings. The higher scores you see reflected on the 3dMark.com histogram are primarily from overclocked 580M's and/or more powerful CPU's. All is well.

if i might say.
try to install these drivers. uninstall the 266 and use driver sweeper. then reboot and install these drivers
NVIDIA DRIVERS 280.19 BETA
they do have a performance advantage and are a bit more stable esp. in newer games.
ps. its great to hear that the video card is operating well
edit. the newer ones rate the 3d much better especially in crysis 2 where 3d sucks with older drivers
Please look at these scores for 580M! 4fps? What's wrong? 3D version!
