Hi, recently my m17x r2 has been randomly glitching or lagging/freezing and a loud buzzing noise starts coming out from it :( it happens weither just watching videos on youtube or playing games and glitches/freezes for a second or so (3 seconds was the worst it has done it) and then continues on running perfectly fine. I have looked all over the net for fixes and have come short, Half the problem is I am not acutaly sure what to look for!

I have been thinking and not so long ago my houses electrical switch was accidently flipped and the power cut suddenly, my AW was plugged directly to the wall the screen flashed and flickerd quickly then went back to normal. (if any one know's if it may be related)

I checked my system and everything seemd fine, everything ran perfect..but then this problem seems to have risen.

Please help! it is becoming a real nuisance. Apart from that everything runs perfect and my system seems to think everything is running normal when i do system tests!

(note i flashed the bios again and it seemed to help for a while and then it started to come back slowly but progressively worse. Also all my drivers are up-to date as of the dell website)

Don't know but it sounds like a power surge problem. I lost a desktop like that once. Motherboard was fried.

is that buzzing coming from your power brick? put your ear to it and your computer to see where its coming from.

Check your temps. I bet they are running hot. When was the last time you cleaned out your vents?
