Hi all... hoping that somebody can advise on this:

First off, I live in Europe. When first I put a DVD in my M17x R3, it advised me that the drive needed to be reconfigured for the appropriate region, in order to recognise the disk (R2 I believe – which covers Europe, meaning that the drive hadn’t originally been configured to my region). I allowed it to do this. However, since doing this, DVD playback has been ‘grainy’ – poor image quality – very poor in some cases. I’ve tried a few alternative DVD applications (computer was installed with Cyberlink PowerDVD 9.6), but the results are the same.

As said, if anybody can advise on what the problem might be, or how to go about resolving it, this would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you

Could you post a screenshot of the graininess?
