    So I've gone from the M11x --> M15x, and now I think I want to sell/trade the M15x for an M17x.

    I know with the M15x it's better to get the 5850 over the 260M, regardless of what benchmarks say. Is there any situation like this for the M17x? A certain spec I should hunt for and not look at benchmarks to determine it?

    I plan to only do games and regular browsing etc on it, no photo editing or adobe programs. With that in mind, is the 1200p screen the way to go? With the M15x the 900p was the way to go with gaming rather than the 1080p.

    Sorry if these have been answered, I just wanted an up to date answer from knowledgable people.

    Since some may ask, the M11x was a good little machine, very light, but just not enough power for me so I went up to the M15x. Great machine as well, made of aluminum making it have that durable feeling. It has great power but there's no number pad which I can't stand to live without. So I have a separate keyboard just to have a numberpad. There's no 2nd HDD expansion without doing the DVDROM removal mod. I have an Intel 160g SSD and I'm down to about 40 gigs, which I know I'll run out.

    I play wow in a top 5 US guild and was planning to fraps down the road so I wanted to get a 2nd internal HDD, hence the M17x.

    Back on track, specific specifications I should be looking for? Outlet have some decent stuff? Sorry for long post... :(

    you're going to wanna go dual 5870's in xfire on the 1200p screen.

    that along with dual hdd capabilities should be the only reason for upgrading to a M17x.

    I'm not sure. If you can afford the price and don't need to travel all too much, then I say, sure get an M17x. If you want a more economical way, try looking for a expresscard to usb 3 adapter for your m15x and then get a nice fast usb 3.0. You'll be able to record fraps to it I believe and then in turn, once you've run out of space on the external, just buy another one. Plus there's essentially no hassle at all, just plug n go.
