    Good evening everyone,

I seem to be having a small issue with my 7970m that I can't seem to get around and was just wondering if anyone had seen this particular problem before. When I am running on my 7970m and I have a very light colored screen on the background ( Ex: Google Chrome tabs page ) I can sometimes see lines through my screen running vertically all the way across the screen. It isn't that bad or noticeable unless I angle the screen down and look at it from an angle then it gets really bad. I also don't see the lines at all on dark colored backgrounds or when I am gaming or watching movies. The problem goes away completely when i switch to the HD4000 leading me to believe that it may be a problem with the GPU itself and not the screen which I initially suspected. I have already tried rolling back and switching to and from beta drivers and I don't see much change. The weird part is that sometimes it is worse and other times such as usually right after a restart i find it harder to see it while others as soon as I open up a white background I cringe because it is there. For the most part it isn't THAT bad because like I said I don't see it unless I angle the screen or on certain backdrops it is more visible but while gaming or using my laptop for 90% of the rest of the stuff I do I can't see it.

Does this sound familiar to anyone else by chance?

In order for me to replicate it every time I have to bring the screen down as if I was going to close it and then look down the screen and i can see it quite badly but only when running on the 7970m. I am sure Alienware will be more then happy to fix the problem but as the card is running fine in every other way I have not seen much of a point in changing it yet. I can only hope that when i do call they can just ship me the part....being a server tech I am sure I can handle the switch out lol.

Edit : I tried to take some pictures but I can't get the right angle for it to show up properly with the camera.

No unfortunately that looks much more noticeable then mine , most of the time I have to tilt the screen to see it at all on mine. That looks like I can see all the pixels where are mine is vertical lines all across the screen from top to bottom and I can't see it at all unless it is a white background.

When I get home after work tonight I am going to try outputting to my LCD and see if the problem persists or if it goes away.

Is it visible only when enduro is off? I have similiar problem, black lines but on dark backgrounds when enduro is off, when enduro is on and game is using radeon issue is gone. On xternal monitor lines are gone even when enduro is off. Strange...
I have noticed that when playing with brightness/contrast settings lines are more or less visible. Can be LCD failure ?
