Just curious as to whether you can upgrade the bios on the dual 4870's? if so what is the latest version? and also in gpu-z one of my cards says bios unknown, is that normal?

If you can, is it tough to do with dual cards?

Sorry for all the questions but I've never flashed a bios on a GPU.

There is not a new version, if you wanted to mess around with voltage and overclocking by editing the existing files that may be possible with RBE but would take some time and care to achieve.

Is it normal for gpu-z to say bios unknown on one of the cards?

Depends on the platform, most iGPU's will show like that.

It is a little odd, if it has trouble ATIFLASH can extract the bios directly.

You can dump the vBIOS of the card that's reporting correctly and flash it on the other card.
But if the system is working correctly, you probably shouldn't bother.
