Has anyone gotten a perfect M17x with no need to replace any parts or need for tech support?

Me!!! 10char

I haven't had any problems with mine!
-
same here so far
-
Mine has been fine. I love it!
-
Never an issue.
Been terrific! -
No hardware issues at all.

So your touch-pads are perfect?
-
-
Mine works like a charm
-
-
I think eveyone has the low polling rates with the touchpads.

Yup! Perfect M17 R2. So far tested with the following software w/o any problems.
Games:
NFS Shift, Risen, Starcraft 2- works very well with single 5870.
Pro-Software:
AutoCAD 2011, ArchiCAD 13, CS5
Other than the 3 dead pixels which i have no intention to replace, i have a trouble free system. All drivers and settings at factory standard coz i use the M17 for work and any self inflicted glitches means loss of productivity. And yes i use a wireless mouse and have no comments abt the touchpad. -
So far so good!

I have to agree that my R2 came to me free of defects both hardware and cosmetics. Honestly, I don't even need new drivers at this point as I'm currently using stock without issues. I only called tech support once since my system arrived on the 9th of July and that was to confirm what the new drivers do for my system (Rapid storage driver, and Turbo boost driver) and the only new driver I have installed is the Rapid storage utility driver and it actually boosted my read/write times and DL speeds. I'm a proud owner of an "All Powerful M17X R2!!"

Well, it doesn't do my laundry but I'll let it slide so I can jon the perfect crowd

Physically my hardware has no problems....little disappointed in the OOB performance of the games I play, but updated drivers can fix that....

Mine works so far so good, around 1 month old, from Australia.

My M17x-R2 has been running perfectly except that the Flextronics Power Supply died a couple of days after use (the Delta one has worked fine). I've been happy with my M17x-R2 since I got it.
Note that my M17x-R1 that I got the M17x-R2 as a replacement for had a lot of problems and had to have many parts replaced, however (Flextronics PSU died twice, but Delta worked flawlessly, two GeForce GTX280M died, mainboard died twice, the Dell Wireless 1510 card was shoddy and never worked very well until I replaced it with an Intel card, and had huge DPC Latency issues all the way through that I got the R2 as a replacement for). -
their are many MANY people without problems concerning the M17x... it is often the people with problems that have the need to jump online, join a forum, and talk about the issues. all in all I think the M17x has a much smaller defect % than most think. but hey, that is just me... also SOOO... many people have problems because they reformat without the info on driver install instructions, and brik a chip/board/controller.

Save the 3 BSODs I had in the past 3 weeks, it has been flawless. Hardware-wise, that is. Some games work really poorly on the Crossfire setup though, most notably GTA IV.

Mechanized Menace Lost in the MYST
Only had 1 problem which was a "defective" GPU and PS(honestly i just think it was my PS) but after that replacement never again. Working amazing now no problems whatsoever had mine since april 10.
-
me tooo, even the touch-pad is bite better with a08
-
Mine physically has been perfect. Yes I do have the poor polling on the trackpad, and also have units disappear when playing SC2, but these are driver related. I won't update my drivers till I know things will be fixed and are out of beta. BTW, A08? That's totally nuts to throttle our procs! We all paid an extra grand for those extreme procs, and Dell has limited them, shame on you dell.
-
my only issue has been throttling while both GPU and CPU are overclocked, and throttlestop fixes it.
-
I've never had an issue with mine, I don't benchmark mine often though or try to play things to the max in fact for most games I play them in DX 9 form because apparently they'll perform better with Alt tab as compared to DX 10. But with 4870's I haven't had any problems or even the need to move to a 5870, but it's always an option.
-
Got mine used off eBay, it was less than 6 months old, an M17x r1. Did a bit of upgrading and experienced the throttling and latency of the 280 GTX's in SLi but nothing I could not handle and knock wood 1 BSOD caused by a driver, I love this puppy.

I bought from a member here and I love mine, M17xR1. Did have one problem, Dell replaced the bluray drive, but other than that and using an external mouse, I have no problems at all. It's a beautiful machine. My friend also picked up the R2 from a member here and it's a beauty.
-
My R1 don't even get me started to many problems to count
. R2 nothing but magic love it
-
I had no issues with my R1 for about 8 months and then all of the sudden, I started getting random freezes that would last anywhere from 2 to 5 minutes.
My R2 thus far is flawless. Time will tell. I have a 3 year Advanced Service Warranty with Accidental Care just incase... -
-
I really have no problems with my R1, overclocked to 3.2ghz without flaws. It's running beautifully.
-
First post and its here to say, I've never had a hardware issue with mine. I've had mine since 1/15/2010.
-
1 week on from its arrival and so far its running a dream, nothing at all the report in the negative, but i LOVE this machine, keyboard is a dream to work on, performance is fantastic and the screen.....ohhhhh the screennnnnnn isn't it nice
-
have had mine 2 weeks now and not a hiccup, happily playing Crysis & Age of Conan with everything maxed
-
So far so good ,nothing is no good ,knock on wood.
As for the touch pad i only use it ,when my crappy mamba does not respond .
