I have my Alienware m17x in parts.

I have no idea if the motherboard is dead or if it's just the power connector (where you plugin the power supply) that shorts the power supply (blue LED goes black).

    Any ideas ? m17x r1 motherboard cost alot ...

Yes it could be the brick itself.

I have multiple bricks, from an R3 and a Precision M4700.

    1. The laptop won't turn on, completely dead, even with battery only.

    2. When I plugin any brick, the blue LED tip goes off. Any brick. I need to completely unplug the brick, let it rest for a few seconds, and re-plug it in another working laptop to make it work again.

The cap on the motherboard is fruched which detects the psu. See if you can resolder it otherwise a new motherboard is required.
    Good luck.

That could be one thing, the other reason could be a short on the motherboard.
