On my m17x r3 the power cable slips rather easy out from the back of the laptop, does anyone know of a trick how to make it sit a little tighter, its annoying you cant even move the laptop without it falling out.
Thanks.

If you have access to another Dell, HP or Compaq PSU - plug it in and see how it feels. If it's better - you need a new PSU, if it's the same - you need a new DC port.
Usually you can find DC port on ebay for your laptop. If you're good with a soldering iron, it's an easy enough job, or someone might help you.

I notice AW have addressed this issue on the latest 17. The power port is a separate part wired back to the MB. No more MB replacements for a 50c component...

I have just tried my m18x power supply, and it feels alot tighter. So i might just end up buying a new power supply or try to replace the cable myself.

If you can find a dead brick you could, be aware the bricks are usually closed with torx anti tamper screws so you will need a hollow star screwdriver.
Power supply advice?
