When my laptop goes into ''sleep mode'' and I press the Alienware button ... the laptop activates, but the screen stays black. I tried pressing every single button but it doesn't work, I have to shut it down and reboot again.
Is there any way to fix this ?

I could simply desactivate that feature but yeah ... I just lost my work because of this :(

I am having the same problem with my new AW17. This started after I installed AWCC 3.5.

Its usually related to your graphics card driver.

I put mine to sleep at least twice a day when I go to and from work and have never had a problem with my 17....I would update to the newest drivers for the GPU as tony suggests and see if that helps.

I'm not sure which version of the Alienware you have, but I have the M17xR3, and sleep mode has never reliably worked for me - exact same problem as you describe. I spent ages trying to sort it out and nothing I tried worked. Sometimes it would wake up from sleep, sometimes you'd get the black screen. I've resigned myself to not using sleep, which is OK for me.
