Hi guys, currently I have a problem with installing graphic drivers on my Alienware 17. Instead of the standard 780m/770m, I have a clevo's 680m installed and have been using it for some time now without any issues. However, as of late, I am unable to install any graphic drivers at all even after editing the inf files nor enabling testsigning. My screen would simply blink once and then a "Force to reinstall graphic drivers" notification would pop up. Is there any solutions to this?

Hi, All I can think of is something has an open handle and is messing with the installation? Do you have any monitoring sw auto-loading?

Try safe mode, use a cleaner like DDU, and install the driver in safe mode? - never seen that message before so it's a shot in the dark - good luck :D

Simply using a command prompt to enable test signing is not enough with Windows 8. You have to reboot with Driver Signature Enforcement temporarily disabled before starting the driver installation. If you haven't done that it is not going to work. Assuming the INF mod was done correctly, it should install without a hitch after you reboot with DSE disabled. Windows 7 allows the user to ignore the warning and proceed with the "unsigned driver" installation, but Windows 8 is crap and doesn't give you that option.

Thanks for the input guys, J95 solved the problem by providing me with a new inf file in the tech inferno forums.
