Ok this is weird not sure if anybody else has had this problem.

Not ALWAYS but a good amount of the time if I do a restart or shut it down and go to power it on in the mornings, I have to unplug the power cord, unconnect the battery for 1 second and then put it back in, and then the computer powers up fine..

its weird cause it is like it turns on and then doesn't initialize anything, unplugging battery and putting back in has worked everytime but it is kinda stupid?

Just my thoughts, laptop runs great otherwise.

did you disable anything from the bios ?
try loading defaults and see if it still happens ?
i think that disabling the firewire causes this but i am not sure.

Disabling pretty much any of the hardware components can do this. I've had it happen with any combination of LAN/FW/BT off in BIOS. Bloody annoying, because I never use any of the 3 but the constant boot problems were killing me. Not enough people have complained about it for them to bother fixing it I guess.

    Yeah. Agreed, seriously annoying stuff.
Plus FireWire also turns off the card reader, I mean, what the frak?
