So I have had a day to forget with this expensive laptop. First of all I update the BIOS since my computer does not work unless its plugged into the mains - I was told the new BIOS version would fix this issue.....it didnt! In fact, whenever the system rebooted I was greeted with the prompt "Operating System Missing". Lovely. I got that sorted (the BIOS update reverted the SATA configuration to something other than RAID) I then told "Ze German" Alienware rep that it wont work unless plugged in etc etc. Result = Dell engineer coming to mine on Friday with a new battery and/or motherboard.

I then try to update my CC to 10.9 (4870 in Xfire).... FAIL. Once I restart the computer I get the BSOD, system restore kicks in and I revert back to an earlier restore point.

Do I have a lemon? I've had this laptop since February and Im wondering is it time to go down the painful route of demanding a replacement.
