Problems with ATI 6970 on M17x

Hello guys,

I`m new here and I was looking on the forum but didnt found an answer for my problem, I`ll gona post here, correct me if I`m wrong.

1- I purchased 2 machines Alienware m17x r3 for me and my work partner few weeks ago, the firt problem was with him (red machine) from nothing starts blue screen, what he did ? he tried to do the alien respaw, no answer, was simple bugged, then he tried a fresh install with a new win 7, the he got some results, but after a few time, the HD6970 just dissapear, now is like is burned or something, after all situations tried, we can`t find it on bios.

2 - My machine (black one) was good, all running good, temp was fine all ok.. till this week, now I got a problem when I was playing Crysis 2 that I got a message that was a problem on net framework 4, then a crash on windows, there started my problems...
In anyways i cant get access to the windows again, not a mbr problem, it just simple gone all my stuff...
Ok, I instaled a fresh win 7, ATI 6970 was there all good, just installing again the drivers.. I dont know where I got the problem, If was nstaling the onboard video card or command center, after a rebot, the machine simple dont find the HD6970 too !!
Now I got the same problem in both machines, we we are really trying to figure out what is going on, if we messed up everything doing a fresh install, and messed Up all GPU config or was a mess since beggining from DELL ?

I was with all most 100% sure that the HD6970 from red machine was with problem, now that the seman thing happened to me I have doubt about that ..

Any Idea or solution about what is goind on?

The first notebook definitely has a problem. Call Dell for repairs or a replacement.

The second one...try another format and installation of Windows and the drivers, it may just be a software issue. If that doesn't help, again, call Dell.

Ok we called allready, they are checking the problem ...

Yes 1 machine can be tottally messed but so why the second one is with the same problem, but is strange that after install of some drivers that the second one started to be like first one...
Maybe is not a energy problem? Some driver from motherboard or onboard video thats start to dont send energy to hd6970?

Because after a new reinstall, the problem is the same on both..
