I don't have an M17x yet, but my planned specs are thus:

    i7-920XM, dual 5870's, 8GB 1333Mhz RAM, and 1TB of HDD space.

The OS's I plan to install are Windows 7 Ultimate, Windows XP SP4, the newest version of Ubuntu, and Mac OSX. That way I have all the advantages of each OS and the disadvantages of none. I was looking at prices I could do this pretty cheaply. Windows 7 Ultimate is $150 (if I get it with the system), Windows XP is $100 on Newegg, Mac OSX is $30 (really cheap, I was surprised, it's really low), and Ubuntu is free.

OS X installation is against their EULA, so this thread will be closed. Technically it's a legal grey area though, but I'm not a mod.

Yep, we're going to shut this down right here.

As has been said many many times before it is against Apples EULA to use OSX on any product except for their own. Discussion of said activity is more over against NBR's rules and thus this thread is shut down.

Sorry it took me so long to find this.

Just as a note, i'm going to be deleting most of the responses to this thread as they serve no real purpose (though knowing this was going on you could have reported it and it would have been resolved quicker)
