do you use softwares like solidworks/catia/creo/siemens nx?
could you test this gpu with SPECviewperf 12?

are there better performances than m5000m?

Mine not working with Precision M6700 : ( , it beeped once and no display at all when power up. The seller said it is because i am currently using LVDS connection, the card works only with eDP. Not sure how true it is. The mainboard has eDP connector but not worth replacing current cable and LCD, will try on M6800 with eDP next week.

Pascal & Polaris marked their departure of LVDS support, and Pascal + LVDS will work only if the CPU/PCH supports FDI (Flexible Display Interface) and the BIOS needs to be capable of that, Need Optimus circuit, the Alienware M18x R2 works with 1060 MXM without eDP due to the Ivy Bridge and the Insyde BIOS being capable of that, whereas the Alienware 17 fails with LVDS on 1060 despite the support from the CPU, perhaps due to the BIOS (Personally didn't try but people who upgraded to an MSI 1070 said so, Insyde BIOS but yeah Dell screwed it up somehow). I guess You'd be better off with the eDP only since you've already invested a lot of cash with that Quadro chip & despite being Ivy Bridge platform not working is weird, It's Dell again..

M6700 failed because of LVDS, M6800 failed too with eDP because of bios. Not sure it is mainboard bios or vbios, it showed the display, able to enter bios, complete whole diagnosis test. Will never boot windows, installation failed at very early stage (even before seeing windows logo) with ACPI_BIOS_ERROR. Tried Win7/8/10 all same error.

Hi SeeDLeeS, I have also the M17X R4 with a Radeon HD 7970 graphic card. I would like to replace the Radeon HD 7970m with a Dell Quadro M4000M graphic card from another laptop to transform the M17X R4 into a workstation. Could you please tell me how you did it to make it successful?
    Thanks.

That coil placement is really unfortunate tho... the P5000 fits the stock M17x R4 and M18x R2 heatsink, whereas this wont :(

exactly, I'm not sure why there are so many different MXM cards out now when we had been following the same design from 2009-2015 It looks like @Eurocom Support used the reference GeCube design and added more MOSFETs to it. I wish they could get ahold of whoever makes that Quadro P5000

Here are some pics of P5000 installed with EUROCOM X9W model. This is standard size MXM3 82x105mm card so it fits into any laptop with MXM3.0b slot and eDP panel.

Yo do you still have this set-up? How is it working out?

I am curious if drivers install properly and everything? I am assuming since it works in M17xR4, it will work in M18xR2 in SG mode?

Heads up fellas, @maxslo has a Dell P5000 and it works fine in his M18x R2 in SG mode, no modification to vBIOS or heatsink needed. No need to pay ridiculous Eurocom upmark price.
