when you order ur system with i5 or i7, is there any difference?
not performance wise, but something like what you get inside your system.
for example, something like diff mobo or chipset or diff ac adapter and things like that.
cuz right now, aw has changed their back to school promotion from 15% off when you spend over $2899 to $2199.
so im trying to go low as i can but worried about getting i5 and not able to upgrade to i7

Go cross fire from the start. It will save you a LOT of money. Also if you go with a 720/820 CPU you get 1333MHz RAM instead of 1066MHz. And if you order dual GPUs or the 920XM CPU, than you get a 240W Power adaptor, rather than the 150W.

    thx dr650
umm.. even tho i get 1066MHz ram i could upgrade it to 1333MHz ram right?
wouldn't it be better to just buy other ram instead of just having stock ones?

Yes you can upgrade the ram when you get the i7. I got mine with 1066s as they were out of stock on 1333 at the time I ordered. Not sure how noticable the difference is in gaming though.

And I agree on the xfire option, get it right away, saves you both hassle and money.

But I am planning on getting 2x4gb when the time is right...
