So anyways I finally got Hwinfo working and when I loaded it up I noticed that one of my GPUs show's temps well above the other, and I'm not really sure why. All I'm doing is surfing the internet, doesn't seem like it should be so hot :(

Anyone have any ideas? Or is this something normal?

    Thanks.

EDIT: M17x-R2 with the Core i7 Q720 and 5870 Xfire, 4GB of ram

    Hi theres,

What are the specs of your machine.
    Are the temps extremely high?

For the photo use the go advance post option and then browse photo and then select and click upload on the right. then okay at the bottom it should be added and then select submit reply at the very bottom of the post. Cheers.

I don't own one of the ATi machines. However looking at your picture the temps seem within range and fine. Crossfire and both GPUs won't be used all of the time. Only in certain cases which support the use of both cards. So I'd say it looks pretty normal. I do notice that sometimes with my SLi GPU card setup. One of the cards temps is like 15degs higher than the other or so. One card being used and the other pretty much doing nothing at the time.
    Cheers.

Perhaps try running a game or GPU intensive application and then check on the current GPU temps again. See if they both rise up?

that looks normal, the first card is the primary card and the slave goes into a ULPS when not in use. Any Flash video or youtube videos will cause the card to increase it's clock speed, and typically they go up to ~ 60C when doing so. my 5870 runs @ 58C or so on a Cryo LX watching 720P youtubes.
