Hello I am also looking at geting an M17x and wanted to ask you guys that have one if you have experienced any glitching/problems with the alienFX lighting? I had a M15x That I just sent back for a few reasons and one of them was that when I turned off the lights on the keyboard it would flicker blue lights all over the keyboard as often as every 3 to 6 sec. Even when I completely disabled alienFX.

This was a real problem for me for if I wanted to turn off all the lights to watch a movie or something I would constantly see flashes of light all around the keyboard, really annoying. I think I will be much happier with the M17x and bigger screen but I worry if it will suffer the same lighting problems as my M15x had.

    Nothing that bad.

With command center A04 I have this weird problem if I'm using an advanced theme (my theme is all green except the keyboard is setup with rainbow colors constantly flowing across it). When I reboot with this theme active, the two rightmost sections of the keyboard as well as the touch buttons and power button/rear alienhead all go black. Then once windows boots up I have to go to the command center (hard to use the touch button for it because there's no light underneath) and once I click on the alienfx tab all the lights come back on working perfectly.

I installed the command center A06 and that seems to fix the light problem on reboot but it made aliensense stop working so I reverted to A04. Kinda annoying so I'm just using a basic theme most of the time.

R1 working as it should using win 7 . Only thing if machine goes to suspend or sleep when waking back up num-touch buttons and head no light but keyboard lights working ok.
I then open with icon in tool box and select a scheme and click apply then all is good to go again.

If I do a cold boot or power up from a cold boot then all is ok.
    Just happens on suspend.

    Another note:

Ever since I've upgraded to o4 command center the only options I have in Cc is FX, and Sense other two not available.
Also when machien starts up from cold boot keyboad on but all others off untill win loads then the rest of theme lights works ok.

I'm not going to mess with it anymore untill Dell/Alienware get the bugs out of it.

    My 2 cents

Ps I'm still running 02 BIOS reverted back in testing ...

Not sure which version I have, but I have the rainbow theme set and when that theme is running, I have to wait for Windows to boot all of the way up before the Rainbow effect kicks in. Otherwise, I get a half lit keyboard through most of the boot up and then the other side lights up and starts going through all of the colors.

I haven't had any weird issues with Alien FX and my R2. Just every now and then the software pops up a bubble saying alienware FX has stopped responding.. thats it.. usually just relaunch the cc app and its all good.
