Hello , i'm looking into buying m17x r3 and i would like to know few things
    1. if i order m17x with sata hdd 5400 rpm and i would like to add later a second hdd of 750 gb 7200 rpm will it be possible without removing the 5400 rpm hdd and if so will it work good togther? :S

    2. how big is the diff between the Intel 6300 Wireless-N (2x2) Half Mini-Card from the Dell 1501 Wireless-N , does it really matters and if so can i upgrade my network card later on ?
thanks for the answers in advance :].

Its a pretty large jump in signal strength. As far as I know the 6300 is the only card that uses all 3 of the R3's antennas. The other options result in the 3rd antenna being merely taped onto the PCB should you decide to upgrade it yourself later.

well my questions come due the fact that i buy certified refurbished m17x r3 from alienware site (since i pay alot of tax since i order the laptop to israel..)
i just ordered my m17x r3 , in worst case i will just remove the hdd i got with it and buy 750 gb 7200 rpm black scorpio and install it but i wonder if the wireless card is replaceable , and if so how much will the intel 6300 costs?

yes the wireless card is replaceable. the 6300 should be around $40-50. i ordered with the intel 1501 then upgraded myself.

oh cool , thanks for the help ;]
i just been informed that my order has been accepted and it will probably ship to my cousin until 27/5 :)
    the specs are :
    2820qm
    6970m
    8 gb ram
intel 1501 (which i will replace later to 6300)
160 gb sata 5400 rpm (which i will replace / add to 750 gb 7200 rpm black scorpio as soon as i get the laptop ) - i would like to know more about changing the hdd btw and as i asked if i can dual both the 750 gb 7200 rpm and the 160 gb 5400 rpm..
    17.3 inch Wide FHD (1920 x 1080 60Hz) WLED Display
    soft touch black stealth black
    8X DVD +/- RW Drive
that went for 1903 after tax (another 100$ for the hdd i will get later and 50$ for the wireless card)
but after the shipping to israel + tax in israel it will go up to 2400$

it's pretty much impossible to know, i guess you would have to wait and see. if it doesn't come with it just call tech support and have them send you one, it should be free.
