    Hi,
    I am new member and just had a question about my laptop. Im running core temp and it shows a tempreture of between 99-130. Should i be worried?

    My specs:
    Alienware M17x10
    Intel i7 Q740 @1.73GHz
    4GB of ram
    Nvidia Geforce GTX 285M
    250gb HDD

    If its Fahrenheit No lol, that would be normal.

    If that was the real temperature in Celsius, yeah id be worried. Whats Core Temp showing the TJMax at? I am assuming thats the 740QM should be 100. Processor should have shut down by now.

    212F = 100C

    You're safe :) (as far as I can tell).

    38C is roughly the temp converted from Farenheight, which is really good for an idle temp.
