I've read all of the posts I could find and noticed that most ordered 4GB and are upgrading to the HyperX. I agree on purchasing the 1600 speed for an extra $20. Some people are saying you won't notice the difference except in a beanchmark. So my question is this, which is better between adding the 8GB to the 4 already in it and running 12 total at 1333 or drop out the 4 and run only 8GB at 1600?

If I have missed a previous discussion on this, please direct my idiocy elsewhere ;) Thanks!!

Have you looked into what it takes to get at the other slots? Check out Joebarchucks youtube video.

It was not worth the aggravation to me, but to others, especially here in this forum, not so much :)

I am going with 8GB of Hyper, and will address more if necessary. I am thinking it will not be. At least for a while!

I'm not worried about getting my hands in it ;) I've been building computers since '95 and have been a Calibration/Electronics Technician in the Navy for over 18 years. I've still got the 'take everything apart and see how it works' mentality :D

Definately true, but not planning on it currently :)
