I'm planning to buy Sony Personal 3D viewer and the purpose is to play games in 3D since M17x R3 6990m doesn't support 3D and its without 120Hz screen. I'm just confused if i'll be able to play my games in 3D with Personal 3D viewer connected to M17x R3 or not?

The specifications I read thru all state the viewer takes in 3D video signals via HDMI and projects them like a 3DTV would. It specifically states it does NOT convert 2D video to 3D video. So if your game is not in 3D, then the viewer will not display the game in 3D.

I'm talking about the 3D supporting titles like Arkham City. That means if I play 3D supported game with this device connected with my laptop, I will get 3D output through HDMI ?

I suppose that would depend upon if you can play Arkham City in 3D on a 3DTV. If yes, then I see no reason why the viewer cannot display the game in 3D. According to the literature, if the viewer's control box detects a 3D signal, then it processes it and displays it as 3D in the viewer. You should contact Sony and confirm that it is compatible in that respect.

nope. bottom of the sony product website says...

    1. Requires 3D content, 3D player, and HDMI® cable (at least 10.2 Gbps)

    3D content = 3D supported game
3D player = nvidia gpu (amd 6990 does not support 3D)

so you'd need an nvidia gpu first and foremost to provide the 3D output for the viewer.

You do have one option - Tridef. I haven't tried it myself but have read good reports from people that have tried it.
