My (Win 7) laptop is about 6 weeks old. I recently tried to use the Media reader.

I have tried the following cards (all working in other devices):
    1GB A-data Turbo SD (150x)
    Sandisk Extreme 8GB (Class 10)
    Patriot LX 16GB (Class 10)

When I insert any of them into the card reader on my M17x R2, nothing happens. I installed the Ricoh driver from the dell driver site; still nothing.

    Any ideas?

Make sure you push the card all the way in, until it clicks :D , If thats not it, I would call Alienware and have it checked

Went and installed all the latest drivers and installed the Ricoh driver, now the card reader is working!

However, the AMD driver broke the ability to sleep! *sigh*
I started a new thread for this... here.

Same problem here. I downloaded the latest drivers from dell and reinstalled them, but no card will show up in windows explorer when inserted. I know the cards in all the way because it clicks and holds itself in. The card readers show up correctly in the device manager, so I'm not sure what it could be. Any help? Thx, Radji
