I have an alienware m17x r2 and I am dumb. I spilled some coke on it, i turned it upside down and removed battery within the space of a min so it all dripped out. I tried washing it and then drying it but once i switched on about 8 hours later. May I add i wanted to wait but I was suggested to at least try it... how i regret that.
I turned it on and it started screaming but seems one of the keys was stuck as i had removed all the lil caps. I still have not put em on.
Anyway second time starting up is fine but the colours are wrong on two or three keys. I also noticed that the letter R does not work. I am terrified, I dunno what to do :(
Can I fix this or just buy a new keyboard? i mean if the rest works but the R does not then it is just the keyboard yeah?

Most laptop keyboards contain 3 plastic layers. Top and bottom are painted circuits. The middle layer is to separate them and has holes at each key.
Water can get into inside those layers and stuck in there. You can't dry it out unless you can separate those plastic layers.

I have taken the keyboard out and on the back says model: NSK-D8C0U
Any idea where I could get one?

I think my keyboard is UK so if I got a US one would it by any chance still work?

If the layout between UK and US is not different, then it should work just fine.

You can try ebay or calling DELL sales.
