I have a R2 thats several months old now. I went to put a 640gb (I salavged from a Toshiba USB drive) into the second slot, but the connectors seem to be different?
I've heard alot about conversion kits over the long time I've lurking here but I thought they had that fixed so it was included?
Mine was Sept 2010 order.

Call Dell and ask for the missing parts(it's called an interposer).
looks like this:
But do you have the caddy & screws? -
If you have the second HD caddy, remove it and look under it.
I found my interposer and screws taped to the underside of it (almost missed it).

hmmn I'll have to open it again. I don't recall seeing them. just a cover, I don't think thats the caddy
I found the wiki and number to phone so I'll try that tomorrow -
If it's the hard drive caddy it will have HDD1 indented on it (pretty big).
Either way I would just pop it out real quick and check... you never know and it will take you all of 5min to find out.

Thanks guys. I opened it again and there was a big HDD1 on it. So I took that out and turned it over to find some foam. I took the foam off and on the opposite side where four screws and an adapter. So I just added a 640GB second HDD
Thanks
