    R3 "alienware" logo suddenly turn off itself

    anyone experiencing the same issue?

    the alienware logo just suddenly turn off by itself and the only way to revive it is to enter the alienfx and apply the color again.

    anyone knows what is wrong?

    Before you do that do a full power drain, 90% of the odd problems you have with an Alienware can be solved with a power drain.

    so just let the laptop on till the battery drop dead?

    No, what Dane meant is:
    - unplug your power cord
    - pull out your system battery
    - unplug the coincell battery (CMOS battery) idk where it is on the M17x R3, but the manual should point its location.
    - press the power button for ~20 seconds in order to drain the remaining 'juice'

    Put everything back together in reverse order.

    Now if everything is seated correctly inside (ribbons, cables etc.) and nothing broke, this will most likely fix it.
